New Cupping Therapy Services

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine to enhance circulation, help relieve pain, remove "heat" and pull the toxins that linger in body's tissues. Cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of suction device on the skin. The skin is temporarily red, blue or purple, especially if there is an injury or energy blockage. The discoloration may last up to 20 days. We use 2 different types of cupping - fixed and moving without the use of fire.

Benefits of cupping - back and muscle pain, anxiety, allergy, flu, cold, aches and a myriad of other pains. Cupping is contraindicated in cases of severe diseases - cardiac failure, renal failure, cancer, leukemia and pregnancy.

Facial Cupping is a non-invasive treatment to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and help smooth the texture of the skin. Benefits of Facial Cupping include: drainage of excess fluid from the lymphs, plumping effect due to moving blood to the surface, and better nutrients to the skin due to more oxygen. Therapeutic benefits include helping with sinus problems, headache, and TMJ relief.

How to prepare for the cupping treatment - eat light meal 2 hours before the session and drink plenty of water and tea (green tea is recommended). The first time clients might feel sore or flu like symptoms since the cupping removes the toxins to help the body to heal itself.
